I used to love Fat Towels, but they started making them smaller a few years back.
Two used to cover my engine hatch perfectly, now there is a solid 4" gap width wise, and they are a couple of inches shorter as well.
I have a long cloth covered bungie with 1" nylon strap on each end that I can hook to the cover snaps that I use to keep them in place on really windy days.
The Wow towel looks cool, and would certainly do the job on the engine hatch, but the yellow looks a bit dull from the pictures they have. I would want something a bit brighter. I imagine washing that sucker would be a challenge too. Two fat towel were about all my washing machine could handle, but at least with two of them I could balance the load.
But I will definitely give the Wow towel a look.

^^^ they call that a towel? I`d call that a blanket
I use bath mats, they stick nice to my hatch and swim platform .. that blanket would be nice for the beach thou.

We stock up on towels and other summer stuff at Costco. They have ok sized towels for the beach or my pool.
Good deals: https://www.costco.com/Kirkland-Sign...100336680.html
Also buy new life jackets every year. They sometimes check for Coast Guard approved at the ramp or docks. I like having a few kids sizes around just in case.
again good price for kids and adults spares: https://www.costco.com/Kirkland-Sign...100336680.html
I've had jackets stolen at the docks. So buying new ones every year and having spares is a good plan.

its nice and thick!! Can take to the beach too, has a wierd hole that you can stick a pole through the middle (umbrella) Also has a zip pocket and some other pockets in the corners!
I was going to actually use it today, but it was too rough! 3-4s where we were going to anchor and let kids swim.
