I talked to my buddy last week who recently made the switch.....38 TS TG to 30 Jupiter twin 300 Yamahas. Loves the shade, ridiculous warranty and long service intervals but one complaint was boat only runs 64. His comment "I'm all done with I/O's".....he had a Pantera and a Donzi before the TG. He bought all of the boats new and settled on the Jupiter 30 because he got a deal on it, I think a triple engine 34 was what he was really looking for.

Just pulling into the driveway with mine now, and I'm glad I made the switch.... Conversations with guests are possible at idle, if you're into that sort of thing.
Cleanup will take me 15 minutes and it'll be ready to go next weekend, and I'll be able to use it later into the fall with less worry about freezing/cracking blocks and manifolds.
My only gripe is 57mph, but I should get 2-3 more with a Tempest over the current Mirage +.
The wife's gripe is the bow filler cushion isn't done because we've been using it all the time. She'll survive, I'm getting a new prop first!!!

Over the past two weeks we have taken a 80 mile round trip (overnight stay at PIB in which we slept in our CC cuddly) in nasty Lake Erie (no less than 4 - 5 footers each way). Spent the rest of Labor Day weekend day tripping to Sugar Island in the Detroit River. Have taken it up to Sin Bads (northern part of the Detroit River) for dinner this past Friday evening with a couple of friends on board. The boat was left in the heavy storms, uncovered while we ate dinner... then just finished up two days of Patrol Work at the OPA races in the Detroit River, where I towed in 1 race boat on Saturday, 2 on Sunday. Also worked as a sweep boat, clearing debris out of the course. All while burning 100 gallons. I absolutely love our CC and have not regretted making the switch in any way.

Were you out by turn 3 yesterday on the Detroit River? If so I saw your boat as we were heading out of the wet pits for race 3. Good looking boat!
