Forgot to mention the 47 Fountain w trips. To the worst detractor at least 42-43 "real" feet long. Hell of a good rough water ride.

Those 47s are simply "sick!".....

The 2 rough condition 38 TS Top Guns recently listed will be gone before the next Apache sells.......Moral of the story......smaller power/twin step stuff is more appealing to today's performance boater.

I mean no disrepect But thats your opinion. I for example will take my lil 28 Apache out in the rough and last longer then a bunch of newer tech boats. Just saying. I have out ran many larger, newer boats before in the rough and love doing it every time.

The best of the best V bottom. Run that beast against a 50 Nortech, OL, 46 RR, or anything else in the same size in REAL 5-7 not what today's crowd call them and see who will lead the pack. I've been in all of the boats I mentioned and trust me there' no comparison. Notice who you always see running in the REAL rough water. People that own these could careless if they sell or not, hense some owners have 2 or more. I'm not saying they don't need BIG power to run because they do but there's nothing like the sound of twin 1100-1300 whining and jumping from one wave to another that is 100+ ft apart. The industry now days has changed. No one but very few care about running 90-100 mph in REAL 5-7+. Some love running in the rough and some care about going 150+ and for that reason they have Skater and Apache (Ron) . I can't mention how many times I have out ran "new" technology with our old 38 stag gun in REAL 5-7 or even REAL 4-5's. These boats are a beast and unless you have been on one you won't understand. "302 sport" have you been on a 41 or 47 before ;if so which one ? Your 42X doesn't count as that is a TS .I recall you calling me 5 month ago about my stag 38 because you wanted a boat that can handle REAL rough and still I will admit the 41 or 47 is bigger monster than mine. For REAL rough these boat are the best. PERIOD. Ride one in REAL rough water and than comment.

that 42 cig had 1350s in it dude... that is having a rocket shoved up its azz...

if a pair of engines with 1000 ponies will make a 41 apache run 100 what would one run with 1350s 116mph, take them
both out in some serious big water and the 1 ft shorter apache would eat that cigs lunch

Indeed they are. It has been stated often and agreed upon by many of the most knowledgable Apache guys that Kemosabe has the best balance and most nimble handling of the 47 group. I don't believe the horsepower is ultra high (less than 1000 per engine?). It is a VISSM Apache and runs rough seas with seemingly effortless grace. A beautiful Apache Powerboat. I'm sure it's over 20 years old and still getting it done. The longevity is amazing, especially for the water conditions they run in. In NJ when it's rough out the Apache Powerboats are tearing it up. Quite a few Apache Powerboats here.

Ratman I think I have to call BS on this one my friend.. I have to believe that both those hulls are within a very few percent of differences in design and the only determining speed factor in the rough might be one is built heavier than thee other . Tougher. ? I think both of them would beat 3 men to death hours before either of them had a structural failure.
