SOO by the post 120 3rd picture down the big secret of the Apache strength is in the Ring Frames. Well They have been around in cold molded racing sailboats since the 1800s , In Fact I think the Pinta Apache which is never spoken of reached the west Indies / America ,days ahead of the rest of the fleet and wiped out every other Indian in the territory

Thanks for putting pictures of her up Ed, I don't have dry 6's for her, I have been buying land instead of boat part the last few years. She's an amazing boat, they all are, center steering #6 race set ups are m favorite.

What they're worth, What some people think they're worth and what they sell for are 3 different things.
I'll start by saying I'm a big fan of old school apaches. But let's be honest. Some of the prices people ask for a 30 year old resin bucket is ridiculous (thus they sit). But like the old saying goes, there's an a** for every seat. Align the stars right with a seller who loves the heritage of apaches and a buyer who loves the heritage and sometimes the high price gets met. What's a 30 year old quality built boat worth with decent power in good condition with 6's or 3a's really? 60-80k. Anything over that, you're paying for the name. With that said, the old Gucci 41 in the classifieds seems like a good buy. Surprised it hasn't sold. |
