That is amazing but if you think about these types of boats, most people like change and even if it is the same brand they like to get new ones. Add in the "interesting nature of employment" of company founder and I'm sure some of the original boat owners it wasn't going to be a "long term ownership model."

That was KW about 6 yrs ago or so. Carls (Cig) boat has 5's on it and it was sold and redone 2 yrs ago by a OSO member that lives in the Fort Myers area. I too have the twin boat to that but weights about 3k ponds less. From all 5 stag guns that one weight the most which was built to race in Argentina but never did.

Here's a quick old school rough water story....In 1988 I took a ride up the Hudson to West Point in my Firefox with some friends. Another buddy had his 28SS, also loaded with people. Nice scenic ride. On the way back when we got around Manhattan a headwind started howling and it was hell getting back to NJ. The Firefox and the 28SS were off plane working these 8 to 10 ft seas (near the VZ) making a slow, safe passage in the big water. Just under the VZ we were in the trough when a 41 Apache blasts over the wave caps above (25 yards away), followed by a couple of 38 Cigarettes! That was severely ballsy, especially the Cig guys, leaping atop those waves like that. The full length of those powerboats was airborne, plus, plus! Impressive. The wave height got smaller by degrees as we got closer to Jersey, when it got under 4 we pressed the throttles forward and got to horse shoe cove. The Apache and 38's were there partying and swimming for a long, long, time already. And that was that.
