Love my 4500 ! it does have the air cab, air ride and rear air. 4x4 is the only way I can go due to rocky not paved ramps on the river at camp. I found it in Miami of all places, 4x4 and drove it back to Pittsburgh it rode just fine empty. And we drove straight threw and no loose teeth like some rigs empty.

Just make sure it says Ford Super Duty on it somewhere.

Yeah then you won't have to worry about getting stuck on the ramp because you will never get there! Sorry could not resist

You don't need Cdl to drive sportchassis.
Made my switch from F450 to Sportchassis and will never go back

I had a couple ford 550 4x4s never used 4x4 now have a 650 2 wheel and don't have an issue if its slippery you dump the air ride and it walks right up the 650 or a sport chassis [ ive had a couple] will stop better than any 4x4 lighter duty . another thought when you go 650 / sport chassis you need a cdl

In my opinion id buy a new 350/450 super duty. Used to think the chevy 4500/5500s were the cats a$$ until working for a company that uses them as their service trucks. Same powertrain as the pickup but detuned and oversized. Don't even have a tow mode to aid in stopping. Just my opinion but either start with a semi with a real motor and trans and do some serious modifying or stick with a pickup.

Bill, just bought my 4th Ford dually f350 for pulling the cigarette. My old ford pulled the skater like it wasn't there. Just upgraded my trailer to electric over hydraulic which is the only way to fly............. Your trailer is set up with it ? Surge is suicide.

I have been towing my 38 Cig Flat Deck with a F350 dualy and never had an issue . These trucks are great right up to 18 thousand pounds . But I just added a 97 Frieghtliner Fl 50 toy hauler to the collection . Bigger is always better .

I will totally agree. I had a sport Chassis and it was awesome I mean awesome. I now have a F550 and love that you but the comfort and look of the Sport Chassis is second to none.
