Default Our New Twin 650HP Big Block Running Strong!!

I just wanted to give a special thanks to Fred White @ White Performance and Machine for building us our 2 new boat engines for our 35ft. Fountain Lightning!
I would definatly have to say that they went above and beyond taking care of us! Both engine were dyno tested extensively. Everything on the engines from spark arrestor to oil pan is all new! They installed the engines as well as did a few maintance items as well(gimble bearing replaced). Since we live almost 5 hrs away from them, before they would let us take the boat home the owner(Fred) insisted that we go to he lake by them and water test the boat to make sure all is well so we did. The boat ran so well that we decided to leave it there and have them detail it and we would come back and spend the 4th of july there. The 4th of july weekend the owner of the shop hooked up his boat(33ft American Offshore Catamaran with twin 900hp Big Blocks) and we hooked up our boat and had a blast at the lake!!!
With our ****yy 23pitch 3 blade props our boat on GPS runs 72mph currently@ appx 5800rpms. RPMs were still climbing however ran out of lake.
Next weekend getting some BBLADES 30pitch 4blade props to try out! Hoping to
run 100+mph as soon as we get it proped out correctly! Thanks for the great engines and hospitality Fred!!!!
Thanks Fred and Crew!!!

I want to also thank The Offshore Only Forum as if it wasnt for this forum I would of never forund them! Thanks OFFSHOREONLY!!!

Chris and Cindy

so you're only expecting a 28 mph jump with a prop change

The heads are 320cc. They are 500ci as well. As far as the speed of the boat I am going off of what Bblades had figured. They said 98mph. I personally not sure how much to expect off of a prop change.

Well, 23s sound way too small so you should see a huge speed increase going to 30s.

The 99 lightning is a single step? Or did they do any twin steps in 99?

It's a single step. Yes the 23 pitch 3 blades are way to small. However the boat is still enjoyable since the wife doesn't like going much over 45mph anyhow. I just kelp telling her to see how enjoyable the boat is with the new props. Lol
