Default Looking at New boat

I currently have a 24ft outlaw, and am looking at a 1995 27 fountain fever single step with a 525sc in it. How will this boat compare to my outlaw when it comes to ride in rougher water? How is the 525sc for longevity? motor has a little over 100 hours since refresh. Tried to search but didn't turn up anything. Mainly concerned about ride in rougher water between the 2. I know it will be faster, and it has some good hardware on it like full dual ram steering, and kplanes. Mine has a single ram add on and does 71 with a 500-515hp 502 mag mpi in it.

I don't think the 27'Fountain is going to run as good as your Outlaw.24Outlaw is a great running boat in rough water the Fountain is really only about 25' if you consider the beak and platform. The 29' fountain would probably be an improvement as far as rough water handling.

I agree with pro27, I had both .... 24 outlaw & 27 Fountain, the 24 outlaw had a better ride in the rough, no doubt about it

Is it marginal, or does the outlaw really outshine the 27 fever?

IMO you gotta make a bigger move than a 27 Fountain, not much difference in the waterline.

I was disappointed in the 27.. I regretted selling my outlaw at the time... I would look at 28'+ boats if you want a noticeable improvement in ride

It's more of a comvienance thing, guy is letting it go for a really cheap cause he is getting bigger and mine is sold basically. Something to get me through the rest of the year and untill I find what I really want. It has some upgrades over mine, is faster, and when I'm ready to sell I definitely will be able to blow it out for what I paid or more. That is why I'm considering cause I don't want to pass up a buyer to just wait till winter to sell. I would like a 29 fever single, 29 outlaw or stup up to a 32-33ft boat. Kinda want to stay with the single which is why a single 29 fever single step would be a good option. But this could get me by till I find what I really want. I don't have to sell the 24 outlaw just thought I mite as well while I have a buyer (haven't listed the boat), and can just jump into this and see what it's all about. And improvement isn't really necessary right now I enjoy having to drive and not just plow through stuff. Just looking for it to be right around the same. I the Chesapeake bay can kick up a little lol

Had a 25 outlaw and buddy had a 27 with a 500 in it. The 27 was way faster but it only held 50 gal of fuel and road like crap to the 25. We went 10 mph faster to the fule dock and got beat up on days with chop,
