It sounds like you want a center console.

If I were in your shoes these would be at the top of my list:

http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o57869-en.html
http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o57730-en.html

I think all of these would be in your price range and you are getting a brand new boat.

There are so many different type of boats at different budget points so it is hard to make one recommendation. Re,member that a performance boat is going to go much faster than a cruiser resulting in a completely different type of ride. Big heavy boats tend to cut through big water better than small lighter boats.

Edit: See, Sydwayz already beat me to it!
good job on the 41 apache recommendation... couldn't have said it better myself

41 apache with 6s, six pack bolster, and a plush half cabin to receive bj's in, preferably in a throne like seat..

ps. you should have enough coin left for several thousand beers and xl condoms... remember to post up pics of all the incredibly hot skanks you pick up with that beast on loto

As said, with that budget you could by a lot!! If you want a V-bottom I would look at something 38' or bigger. My top gun loves the Saturday afternoon rough water at LOTO! A 42 or 47 fountain, 382 formula, black thunders, scarabs, cigarettes, there are a lot of nice boats out there for sale.

MTI's and Skaters are awesome boats and I love them but unless you have a second boat they are not very practical IMO. I would think coming from a cruiser your wife is going to want somewhat of a usable cabin. Unless you want to do nothing but go fast and I mean 80mph and above every time you use your boat a cat is not for you. They dont ride very well at 50, because they aren't packing air yet.

Take your time, ride in a few, and do your research before you buy. That's the best advice I can give you. Based off the info you gave.

Just saw this post. It does sound like you would enjoy a Center Console boat. I would look for something 35' or bigger. Almost every go fast builder makes one. Statement Marine makes a very nice CC and will customize it to your likings. There 35 and 38's are awesome boats and both ride great at LOTO. Performance Boat Center has a new 35 with twin 300's sitting at their docks. Bring the cruiser over to the marina and talk to them they are a dealer for them, and they take trades!

I seen a very nice 42 Cig cc with 5 350s on the back coming out of captain rons. Not a fan of center consoles or outboards but wow was it nice! I myself would go with a 39 top gun or 42 outerlimits if i had that kinda budget. 700s full stagger
