Default GO PRO video editing software ??

Ok guys ( or girls ).. who has started trying to edit any of the GO PRO video taken at your lake or river yet ?? I have taken hours of raw footage so far. There seems to be so many different software platforms out there. I want to be able to edit with slow motion, time lapse, music, and all the good effects. Also, it would help if it were pretty easy to use. I will be using a new DELL computer so it should be able to run most anything.

Thanks.....

Not that this helps you much right now, but all the video editing I have done was with a MacBook and iMovie. If you're used to a PC, jumping to a Mac can be a little bit of a challenge at first. And I am sure the PC editing programs will also be a challenge as well.

Maybe drop Keytime a message, I think he uses a PC based program and comes up with some great video.

Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

Go Pro has some basic video editing software, So does Microsoft and both are free. But for really good software you should get CyberLink PowerDirector 12 Ultimate. It is the highest rated video editing software by every test I have ever seen. If you don't want to spend $350 on Adobe Premiere it is the best thing out there. You should be able to find it for about $70. Adobe is definitely the best package going but also a little hard to master for the hobbyist. BTW, Don't bother worth Adobe Premiere Elements either.

Give me a call if you want to discuss.

GoPro's free software isn't bad for a novice. I have turned out some good bedroom based short films

iMovie works great, but not always intuitive, so it takes a long time to get what you're after.

This is the one you want. Professional style effects, easy to use, pretty cheap.

I've used both Go Pro Studio and iMovie. iMovie is much better in my opinion. I used Studio on my Mac, and used iMovie on my phone. The phone version was not bad at all, and I expect the Mac version is same/similar.

Studio was very cumbersome and time consuming.
