My Way runs T55-L-7's, Max Continuous HP is 2850, So 5700 HP total... aka, a $hitload. Qatar is running t55-L-714's, Max Continuous HP is 4860, So 9720 total.. an even bigger $hitload.. If they can get the drivetrain to live, it's going to be insane. I just hope they don't kill them selves. Tom Bam is right, rafting up in the first half of the course is a good idea! |

What's a good time to get over to the line up to get a spot?

We hope to be on the line by 830am with the cruiser.

I did not know they had more HP, thought they had a chance with same HP. Now I really think there is a shot at breaking it. It will still have to be a near perfect run. I wish them luck, and hope nothing stupid happens.

Thus is the first year we rented a boat to join the front line party. |

We've pulled onto the front line as late as 11:00 A.M. but by then it begins to get more difficult. I would say be in line no later than 10:00 A.M. if you want to be able to pick your position on the course on the front line.

Depending if you have a deck to stand on or if not, get rafted up next to a cruiser, the second line or some of the smaller tie-offs behind the front row are fine as well. Wind can play havoc though with secondary lines. The front row is always stable due to the sheer number of boats/anchors. First pic secondary line, second front row.
