197 mph PLEASURE BOAT

I know Quatar and My Way get a ton of attention as they should, they are also full canopied race boats. But how bout the 197 laid down by JT in Jon Roths Pleasure 388 Skater. Hopefully they can get 200 tomorrow morning when it's cooler. 197 is impressive for how hot it is there. Would be the 1st non Mystic and open cat boat to hit 200 in the shoot out

Comanche3Six 08-23-2014 03:10 PM

Geezus!

packinair 08-23-2014 03:14 PM

there was one like his out here at Havi a few years back. All white. Anyway I hope he keeps it glued in. He has to be wearing the fiberglass pants and stuff i would imagine. Chip said his would run 198. So this is about right.

those speeds are just crazy. You oughta know. One mile in like 20 seconds. Its gotta be a cool feeling. Probably getting a bit twitchy. Chute jackets are good and they can be bad too. I wuz just currious.

Gee sorry, I admitted my mistake!! Now for supposedly being a friend that just talked to u an hour ago, I ask-

WTF IS YOUR PROBLEM MAN?!!

Top Banana 08-23-2014 06:58 PM

Long before any of you were born, there was an endurance circuit that was run with 17 to 20 foot SK style boats. The Salton Sea 500, the Miami 9 hour race, Orange Bowl Regatta, etc etc.

Well, one of the names that was royalty in that series was Brummet. So nice to see the DNA of that family is still doing what they do best, build and provide engines and boats that run at the front of every pack.

Congrats to Carson Brummet, you have done your family proud sir.

Nate5.0 08-23-2014 06:59 PM

Saw it, heard it, and at Camden.

That boat is a BEAST!!!! Far and away a top fan here.

Maybe you should you try to use it also, SPELLCHECK! :)

Keytime 08-23-2014 09:17 PM

This boat sounded 100% badazz at the start. Everyone around me paid close attention when he hammered it. Beautiful boat and some sweet sound.

good catch, my spelling was ok, but grammar was lacking... I'm engineer, great with math, not so much with grammar.... :)

Cole2534 08-24-2014 09:38 AM

Well.........?

Cole2534 08-24-2014 10:38 AM

197 again, but it looked like the nose was coming up around the finish line and they had to bring it down.

omerta one 08-24-2014 11:01 AM

Yep, that last run they got a little too high...but settled it right back down. They were on the edge.

RollWithIt 08-24-2014 11:01 AM

Running in beast mode for sure. Glad the run went well, would not want to flip in an open canopy boat.

mcprodesign 08-24-2014 11:09 AM

a pass at that speed without incident is an amazing accomplishment.I bet that setup would do 205 downriver. I would love to have half of that horsepower

precisiondetails 08-24-2014 11:16 AM

Yep they said in broadcast that JT told Teague it would have easily went over 200 if he didn't have to back out of it.
