Please take a moment to sign Carey's memorial guestbook. His children will appreciate it.

I've been trying to address his kids specifically, and have started 3 times, but can't seem to finish my entry before breaking up. I'll get it done soon though.

I hope a couple of you can get a kick out of this.
Again, I didn't know Jeremie, but I can see a bit of Carey in this video.

Carey and Jeremie died on a lake in Mississippi on a Friday night.

That is definitely how they lived Brian. Perfectly awful and just the way they would have done it. My money says they have even watched it a few times.

I posted this on Carey's FB:

I can't claim you as a close friend, but we did share some grand times together over the past 10 years across many boating venues. This song came across my tune box while driving this weekend for the first time since you passed. I had to pull over, and played it three times; tears the whole time.

Goodbye, Dear Friend Carey.

I finally got through posting on his memorial page; and linked this thread as well as another and that song.

I don't think Carey had anything other than close friends Brian, and having said that I'd have to disagree with you. He was just that kind of guy. He was an instant friend to everyone he met. I think about him everyday. As I get older I find myself thinking more about just how short and fragile life is. You spend your life on this earth, several years or in some cases just a few, and when you die its as though you were never here. No matter how much money or property or goods you've accumulated, a few months after you're gone it's like you were never here. The world keeps right on without you, never misses a beat. Kinda sad but that's just the way it is.

I never knew it, but Carey and I were only a few months apart in age. I think that has a fair bit to do with how I am taking this one, personally.

I put a pretty long winded note on his memorial page, and his Mom reached out to me on Facebook. We exchanged a few messages. Carey was her only child, so you can only imagine her pain. Message me if you would like her info on Facebook; as I do feel like she appreciates the shared memories from friends in this circle.

I'm with you Brian. I'll be 40 next August and I think about Carey every day and how short life is or could be. I probably should've died several times by now with all of the dumb stuff we used to do. I hear he got to wear the Warparty shirt I gave him in Destin before he passed. I wish I had a picture of that. If you're reading this Marsha, David, Carey's mom or children we're still thinking about you all.
