This is very sad for my family, I just talked to him last week because we are moving the boat to Pickwick at the end of this season and was planning on going there in 2 weeks to get a slip. Carey was very helpful to me and my wife, he helped us buy our boat and held my hand through the whole process. Always the professional, he went the extra mile to make us happy. I know that he will be missed by everyone he touched. As for me I lost a friend. David, I know is beside himself because Carey was part of his family. Hey Carey I have your number in my phone I will still call and text from time to time to let you know we are still thinking of you.

Did not know either gentleman. But this video is amazing, and shows what an incredible BLESSING they both were to those that did.

Prayers to the Families, it is very obvious they have incredible strength. God gives Peace and Comfort, and this I pray for all.

God Bless

I did not realize everything that happened that day when you got buckled in.
Common knowledge Greg likes the MTIs, but did not realize he re-enacted the whole scene.

It was posted on Facebook. Carey's cousin made the tribute.

Marsha worked at the original Pier57 as well. As you can see, Jeremie and Carey were very tight.

At a poker run earlier this year, Carey and I were drinking and chatting way into the early morning. He told me of how his parents would literally drop him off at Pier57, and he would spend day after day there; because he loved the place so much. Eventually David Woods started paying him, and he basically learned every role in the place.
I have to imagine this loss is EXTREMELY difficult for David as well, probably like loosing a son, and another member of his family, Jeremie, since that whole group is so tight.
With that, my condolences to David as well.

He lived a life that many of us would have yearned to have had. I can't remember a South Florida boat show or FPC event without Carey there. Every one of those events in the future will be a bit darker without him; albeit you know he's going to be there in spirit.

Jeremie was 40. He and his wife have two sons.
Carey was 39. He had a boy and a girl.

R.I.P. Carey & Jeremie
We hope you find Heaven well stocked with fish and high octane fuel.
Me and Jessica spoke briefly with David Saturday night while having dinner at the restaurant. Briefly because after just a few words we both broke down so yes David is understandably devastated. Carey was there to help me with anything I needed, anytime, no matter how important or unimportant and no matter if he stood to gain or he didn't. He went out of his way to help me when he didn't need to much less have to. Always a handshake and a hug or pat on the back anytime we met, I'll miss those times. Carey was the definition unselfish. He was a lover of people, to those he knew and loved and to those he'd never met. I'm very honored to have been fortunate enough to call him a friend and I have an emptiness in me that won't soon be filled. RIP my brother and thank you for the chance to take a few steps with you. You're missed more than words can express.
