Nope......just pointing out that some of these "premium fresh water boats" are being brought up from Florida after they have been for sale for years at lower prices.........

I get that LOTO is hot right now and there is nothing wrong with dealers importing boats to sell but just wondering if the buyers are believing they are buying fresh water stuff when it was a salt water boat for 10 years prior!

Maybe I can help explain with my point of view. I do business with PBC on a regular basis and if I were to even consider an out-of-state boat, I'd be sending PBC to check it out/finalize the deal/haul it back whether it was with a private party or dealer as I don't have enough free time to do it myself. That all costs money. If they have already done that, I immediately have confidence it's a clean and solid boat. Plus on the boats they own (not brokered), they fix anything that needs addressed after they get it back to their dealership.
For example, my wife had me make an offer on a 39 Quattro just days after it arrived with them (my wife RARELY does that but she really loved it from Brett's pictures we saw) after I drove down to look at it. It wasn't something that had been on my radar prior to them getting it and she'd probably balked at me having a east coast boat looked at incase it wasn't as nice as it really was.

Im gonna jump in and mention this real quick, as most know I am a Formula guy, and over the years of watching the older SR1~Fastechs Ive found that 75% of the boats Ive looked at have pics taken on a lift, I've also found that a very large percentage of that number is kept on a covered lift, private or marina's, Ive found that area to be "rich" and people have the money for the extra's, less fade, and sun damage, till this day I am amazed at just how many older Formula's come out of that place mint right down to the original mint upholstery,

All that being said Ive seen some nicely priced 353's out there lately, I think one was actually Brett's,

I lust bought a boat from a private owner at loto and got a reasonable deal. It was keep on a covered lift with a full cover.

You get what you pay for. It is black & white. No grey area. Plain and simple. This applies to most things in life, in particular high cost, high maintenance toys.
