[QUOTE=Wilks;4192257]It could just be that boats at LOTO are kept in better shape. :)[/

Must be, thanks

Nope......just pointing out that some of these "premium fresh water boats" are being brought up from Florida after they have been for sale for years at lower prices.........

I get that LOTO is hot right now and there is nothing wrong with dealers importing boats to sell but just wondering if the buyers are believing they are buying fresh water stuff when it was a salt water boat for 10 years prior!

You can easily spot a salt water boat if it wasn't properly cared for. If it has been properly cared for and the survey comes back clean then what's the big deal?

Your talking about boats like this. 20k higher than when listed in fla. Expensive drive I guess.

Getting freshened up motors, spruced up and cleaned up. It may look like the same boat in the other pictures, but...

I brought the boat back. It is VERY clean and now will be ready for another number of years for a happy new owner.

ALSO didn't you know, just like Branson,MO for the country singers, ALL Cig's come here to retire. :lolhit:

Besides, NO WHERE is it stated these boats have spent their life in Fresh water only.. Unless they have. It is WAY too easy to show a paper trail of where a boat has been during it's life. It is not that a salt water boat is better or worse, it depends on how it was taken care of.

On a side note: I have hauled the same boat (NOT the above boat) from Fl to LOTO, to NJ to LOTO to MI and now again back to LOTO. Every couple of years it gets bought and sold, great boat but it has made it's rounds. Everyone loves the boat and then gets tired of putting TONS of fuel through it... But I am sure it was fun while they did it! And If I am mistaken, the price range of each sale fluctuated up and down significantly depending on what the person did for upgrades or dealt with life changes...

We disclose all information known about our used boats. Especially the ones we have been buying and re-selling. They are not merely transported to LOTO and become LOTO natives. We are very clear of where the boat was used and what service has been done to it. Some of them come in, get completely serviced and go back to being enjoyed. Some require much more attention. That is the risk I assume when completing the purchase.

Hopefully if everything goes as it has for me I will be seriously in the market for a 42 lightning by next summer. Location is irrelevant in my mind as condition will prevail. Full hull and mechanical survey and overall condition not a quick clean for sale. You can tell if it has been taken care of or neglected.

If 2 boats had the exact condition and one was for sale in Florida and one in loto I personally wouldn't pay more JUST because it was a loto boat.

Exactly..............someone can tear a boat up just the same at LOTO as any other ocean or pond across the country.

My post has nothing to do about any PBC boats, it's just a observation that it's how "ANY" boat has been taken care of, it's unimportant where it came from.
