Surfury is owend by the family trust of the Gardner Bros, who used to own/race her. They have donated the boat to the National Maritime Museum here in the UK.
Unfortunately, the NMM do not have room to display her, so she is in long term storage on a disused RAF WW2 airbase. The general public can not visit her without setting up a private viewing.
This thread on Boatmad has some relatively recent photos taken by someone else. The boat remains to be in similar condition today. http://www.boatmad.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16879

Correct, Tommy leased some space from Cigarette back then, so the Signature boats were effectively built at Cigarette by Tommy. We were fortunate enough to be shown around his shop, hence the photos......

Yeh, I got very attached to this boat. I saw it being built at the Cig factory in 79, I then saw it race in the 79 CTC. The boat was re-engined for the race and I got a cut out from the transom where the new exhausts went.......big deal when your 7.
This boat then made its way over this side of the pond in 2009. I was introduced to the owner and got to race on it for the 50th anniversary of the CTC.
I then became friends with the new owner of the other bubble deck (only two built) and last year I got to take a ride on this boat as well.

Getting back on topic, here is some footage of the start of the 2012 CTC from my Uncle's Apache 41. If your board, fast forward to 6:30, sit back and enyoy! Hard not to love these boats!

How are you sending your post? If you get the photo on the same machine, it should be pretty straight forward. Actually, thinking about it, I think you may need to register as a Gold member or above.
