I don't agree at all! Gump cleaned up at the Oscars while Pulp just missed out which helped at the box office and certainly boosted Hanks' star appeal and salary. I like both movies but most Tarantino movies are a bit 'out there' which doesn't always help with broader appeal. I don't think Pulp Fiction was a bad decision but if Travolta had gone with the more wholesome character of Gump, I wonder if his career would have steered in that direction, a bit more like Hanks......
