Hopefully soon we will have an alternative fuel that eliminates the need for ethanol or petroleum. Since 2011 there has been and continuing
to develop synthetic gasoline. Probably will be shut down by the big gas companies. Just google synthectic fuel. This new fuel is in the
$1.50 to $1.75 range

Back then they had to import gas now they have found oil there think they even export it now.

BTW last I heard Gas is now our biggest export.
Will do. The there must be oil around there somewhere considering that Petrobras is Brazilian state owned.

corn based ethanol is moonshine on a large scale we have a plant nearby and they have to add a bittering agent so it can not be consumed by humans we all grew up racing supermodifieds at a local track they run very high compression bigblocks on straight methanol with hilborn mechanical fuel injection i,m not against alky just it does not work well around water and boats

Texas Vines. Fertilizer runoff IS, repeat IS the major source of nitrate induced algae blooms and the degradation of water habitats. How do I know this? I'm currently involved in a joint effort with the ND environmental lab to develope a cost-effective field deployable nitrate sensor. There are two current methods used to collect the nitrate data, lab analysis with field collected studies and small tuned micro spectrophotometers mounted inside a $20k instrument. We already have data that proves rainwater and irrigation runoff of cultivated earth IS the cause. Sewers? Nope. First off, well over 90% of sewer water is, well, water. All of that "concentrated" waste water is treated to include nitrates. The only thing that isn't, and can't be treated is synthetics (pharmaceuticals). If you happen to be in a CSO community, the EPA has cracked down on overflows, and the only time they do overflow, is during wet weather. At those times the sewer is over 99% water. Rain water. You are talking out of your a$$ and browsing the web gathering snippets to support your BS. Your mouth is going to get your head caved in, and yes, when you make a smart a$$ remark it is grounds for that. Now back to what matters. Either talk boats or leave.

They have a ton of it, but supposedly keep f*king it up.

Here's just one article on it;

And do you (Texas Vines) even have a damn boat! You skipped that one, although all I really expect is another drawn out dissertation of BS where you never really even answer the question.
