Default 38 top gun GT

Question for the Cig owners- what does the GT stand for on a Top gun GT?
Assuming it's a cabin feature? Or length of cabin?
Also- does the GT have more engine compartment room?
Thank u!

If the GT is in front of the engine description it is referring to Gary Teague

I always questioned that also... I couldn't figure it out so I just it meant "good times"...

It was a trim package on a Top Gun......most of the boats were stripped down

Yep, it was their 'low option' designation with less billet items, bling, stereo investment, etc. etc.

Wasn't it also a more popular European option? I thought the cockpit was larger and the engine compartment was smaller. The space was increased from the bolters to the rear bench. No?

From what I was told, cig was blowing a lot of money fixing options on boats . Case in point adding extra gauges to a boat that didn't order them because the guys in the shop of foreign descent couldn't read the order to well. So they put packages together and did a run. Bullets had gt1, cafe's had super brut and a couple others. Just a step towards production to stream line the build and limit mistakes and repairs.

There is one for sale at PBC, I have cleaned it several times. Very nice boat check out the pics. That one has a very large engine room and smaller cockpit area. We had a 39 top gun sitting right next to it, engine hatch and everything was the same. Engine hatch size, where the back seats are, front seats, windscreen, everything. Other than the side by side motors it looks like a 39. Not many less options than any other top gun I've seen. Guess it depends how the owner orders it.
