Default Sound Internet Technical Advice

Let's have some fun with recent off the wall advice you've seen in internet land

On a Misfire thread I just read minutes ago:

Have you considered a bad gas cap? Maybe you're sucking air through the cap into the fuel lines.

Edit:

Someone changed the thread title.

I was making a thread for all of internet land...not OSO.

I thought it would be funny as it would be outside of OSO.

Oh well, guess a Mod thought different

Like this ? LOL. A great one for this thread.

Exhaust is under pressure...what happens when you pop the top on your favorite beverage? Do you have to open it completely before the gas escapes?

Mercury Racing doesn't know how to match valve springs and seat pressure for their high performance engines.

Anything over 500 hp and your bravo 1 will self destruct sending shrapnel flying everywhere and injuring innocent bystanders.

Any boat over 26' and you should really be towing it with at least a 1 Ton dually.

Like the thread idea SB

TRS drives will be good till about 750HP.

Synthetic oil will cause your roller lifters to "slide" on the cam lobe and cause damage.

115lbs of seat pressure is plenty of spring pressure for a marine BBC hydraulic roller because mercury knows best. Valvetrain failures at 200hours or less on a stock merc setup is just internet hype .
