Fall River River Grand Prix OPA Race @ Borden Light Marina
Offshore powerboat racing is possibly the most dangerous and definitely one of the most exciting forms of motorsports racing available today. Watching these ocean going machines race around Mount Hope Bay is nothing short of mesmerizing as the boats fly from wave to wave at speeds approaching 200mph.
The City of Fall River looks forward to hosting its first OPA Race this August 14th – 16th. We welcome you to our marina and our city of great history and attractions.

Borden light grand prix opa meeting
There will be a meeting at the Tipsy Seagull,next Wednesday 6/24/15, to discuss the August 16 OPA race. We could use your input regarding pace boats, turn boats, sweep boats, etc. See you there.

reading this thread really got my hopes up. It would be cool to see some races in our local waters. Cant really think of a better spot either. Seeing boats whiz by the battleships would be pretty cool. Not to mention there is a lot of room on land to watch. I have my fingers crossed.

So this will be the week after the PR? Sounds like you're going to have your hands full for the first part of Aug.!!!
Quick questions... Will the racing take place right in front of the marina, how big will the course be, and will spectator boats be aloud out there around the course?
