Easier to lighten the motors (aluminum heads) and shift any dead weight in the boat to the bow. You could even move batteries up there and make a big difference...think of the leverage, and you keep the cockpit space. Then select the correct props and you are good to go.

I did some looking a year or two at what might have to be done and decided it wasn't worth even thinking about. Tanks gotta move, all the electrical, pumps , plumbing and new interior ect on this plus the glass work and transom and stringers. I think if I was going to take on a project like that I'd go back rather than forward. Invest that time and money into cutting the back of the boat off and adding 4' to the back. Find a good glass guy to tie it in nicely. Save the fuel capacity, save the cockpit and turn it into a one off 42... Or buy a different boat. Lol

isnt that what was done to the white lightening boat? heard that was a stretched 38 cig. i would call up a few people that have the full stag 38 TG's and try and get some ideas from the boats from the factory on how they made everything fit... it would be a cool project none the less.
