Default hull help!

So im doing a little winter cleaning because i miss being on my boat .....lol. I am currently on the hull and was going to wax it. Its not dirty due to my OCD I clean it continuously throughout the season. But I do want to keep it a smooth fast surface. Any thoughts from my oso family? Types of products? Good/better/best options?

Thanks for any input.
Sam

Although I still wax the bottom side of my hull religiously twice a year, and the top side twice as often, there's plenty of science to prove that a slightly rough surface is actually better for speed. Some folks even go as far as wet sanding their bottoms for what little bit of speed it's worth. Some blow boat guys (Americas Cup for instance) will scare you with what they do. That said, my current favorite product for easy on / easy off / lasts a long time is Menzerna Power Lock.

Wow I would never think wet sanding would help.....but I think a good once over in the off season is a good idea. Is it not a common thing to do?

Smooth surfaces are sticky.

we tried it with some of the batboats years ago, after re geling the bottom of all of them we left one or two finished in 320. They were slightly faster but impossible to keep clean, dont do it lol. For wax I use Vitreo and Awesome from Fountain of Youth

I use PowerOne for cleaning the bottom, and I use Vitreo on the horizontal / vertical surfaces. I don't apply anything to the bottom. There's too many bunk surfaces to make it worthwhile.
