Once the objectives are achieved prices will go right back to where they were.

Cutting my gas budget in half? To me that`s fantastic. I can either do 2 weekends for the price of one or go twice as far .. To me thats a BIG deal!

Chad, You always refer to the 12 month boating season in California. I did the Pittsburg to San Francisco run with Rick Bowling in his Gone Again Talon last saturday. It was a nice ride but only because it has a canopy. My boat would have been a cold ride. Southern Caifornia maybe, northern, not so much. The 3 dollars for premium made for a $450 dollar burger rather than a $750 burger at $5 gas. Should be a great summer. Doug

Well we shouldn't get too happy about the California prices,, new tax( Cap and Trade Tax) may go into effect in 2015 which will raise the prices some, and no one is talking about how much more tax

The boat market crashed with the economy. Land fuel was around $2 a gallon then too.

When I need more I get it. Fuel cost is not my reason for or not boating

Just put a little over 33 gallons in the truck on Sunday and the total sale was $49.00, now I did have $.40 off per gallon for fuel points but during the summer that would have cost me between $110-$125. I do quite a bit of driving so for me the amount of money saved on the fuel in my vehicle is much more substantial that what I would save on the boat.

Can not believe how expensive gas is here yet. 2.61 today

Bought gas on the water for 3.25 the other day. Went out and have not seen so many boats out in a long time.

I felt the same way when I had a single engine 25' boat.
$100 in fuel, boat all weekend, now a $100 gets me out of the marina and on plane .. maybe lol :angry-smiley-038:

Since the gas prices have dropped the ramps and waterways seem very crowded. People using their boats will prompt them to buy new or at least spend money at the boat store, either would be nice.
