your buddy with the 650's should learn how to drive because our boat with 500efis (470 hp) with 4 people just about touches 70 maybe 68-69. sorry. i have GPS to confirm it.

Yet another sub 10k boat. Ok...we are back to comparing weight and not steps.

3 flat bottom cigarettes just sold in the past week. must be a weak market. and to clarify, i am not arguing the t/s boats are 10% faster...but that is inclusive of being lighter, etc. it just doesnt have to do with steps.
Please post a picture of this flat bottom Cig your talking about. I have never seen one.

Does your boat hop over 70mph? With your logic, why doesn't cig build a straight bottom with lighter materials and shorter drives if there's no difference with steps. After all, straight bottoms are better in rough water, according to straight bottom owners. Have you ever ridden in a stepped boat?

Calm down sparky, your t/S is bad ass no one is trying to insult it , I believe the gentelmans point was that the difference between a straight bottom and step boat (@ the same weight) isn`t as large as some would have you believe.

Not sure why everyone got their panties in a bunch over that.

If I had to maintain that many boats I`d eat a bullet first, well done.
When they made my Flat Deck scales weren`t invented yet, my title was written on a stone tablet, no weight listed.
