So my Sonic is not a "go fast" and nor are many of the old "resin buckets" many here praise.

Let's try and rephrase that.

I just found out what makes a go-fast boat, it's gotta go 80, glad to know that, I better get those whipples on my Formula here soon.................lol

It feels go-fastish when she's WOT and she's heading South out in the Gulf like my avatar.

I am just glad I can clear up any misconceptions anyone might have when I fire it up at the ramp. Now I can ease their mind this is a cabin cruiser.......****....let me inform my insurance about this too. They are all wrong for so long.

The more popular drugs in the late 70's thru 80's made everyone want to do everything fast.

Clean
Run
Drive
Sex
Mow the yard
cut the trees
Sleep. No, not sleep. Maybe after 48hrs or so we'd catch a nap.

fast cars, fast women, fast boats...again......everyone did everything quadruple speed.

Today's society way more laid back,

Less manufacturing laborers - more office workers !

Also, remember, our Country is getting old. CC's are more popular for that reason alone.

A lot of bass boats can 80, 90 or more, but they chop the throttle when you get a two foot wave. My 31ss will only do 72, but it will cruise all day at 50 in four foot seas!

Just saying that 80 is the new 70 and that most modern step hull Vees run well over 80 and most step hull CCs do not. No, I'm not putting down older boats so I probably should have said that a MODERN go-fast should run over 80! Anyway, to each his own and we all have that speed that we need to reach to get the thrills we seek in this sport. If you are happy with a 65 MPH CC with 10 people on board then that is certainly cool. I still don't see CCs replacing enclosed Vees in the long run though.

I've yet to see a bass boat that can hit an honest 80 and they are not "go-fasts" by definition. Not enough deadrise.

Center consoles are gay. Only puzzy azz loosers buy those things. They should be banned from this site and only be allowed on
