I owned the boat from 06-10. The motors began life as 1200 Cobras then Jimmy Mac did some work on them. In 08 I completely went thru them with the help of a close friend that runs the R&D department of a major Nascar engine facility.
The motors make 1275+ on 100 octane & make over 1000 ftlbs of torq from 3500-6600.
I ran 93 octane in it when I was just cruising as long as you keep it below 5200+/- it's fine. Btw 5000 is just over a 100 mph.
Johnny O was the org owner & yes he's a huge iron maiden fan. I wasn't thrilled about the paint at first but after I got it I fell in love with it.
That is the last vinyl ester 42 gtx made. It's not an epoxy hull.
