Wouldn't sonic have looked into all legalitys of using the hull ?I'm sure they didn't just find it on Craigslist and decide to make a few

Maybe I wasnt clear in my typing, I had read that the 43 Nordic was licensed after the fact. Nowhere did I say that the Sonic was in any way related to the Nordic deal. Why wouldnt PH collect on this hull?

I believe PH addressed the issue of Someone copying his work. Going from memory PH stated they have to make X amount of changes and it's legal. So they do, but not to the bottom! Which is the most technical part of the powerboat. Hope this helps.
