These were both 28's. Flat water in them sucks. Starts getting choppy and it's like your on glass. When they really start going airborne that's when they run the best. My 27 Donzi has a similar ride. It does not like flat water at all. More prone to porpoise and chine walk when it's flat start getting into bigger water and it straightens right out.

Donzi 27 ZR, Fountain 29. Gut the cabin if speed is your only concern.

Kunkels Marine has (2) Checkmate 300's for sale right now according to there website. The blue and white boat is set-up to run 120. Looks like it can be bought with or without power.

Yes, would like to see more pics of your boat. Can you tell me how it handles the power at speed and also docking control with only one engine? Thanks! T

My experience on a 27 and 30 Activator is in the 80 to 90 MPH range. No ill handling on flat water just slower on top end. Never seen a chine walk or porpoise at these speeds in any water. Maybe a different deal over 100.
