Default End of an Era: Janssen Selling Snowy Mountain Brewery

Unless someone buys and campaigns it, Snowy Mountain Brewery will be off the racecourse this season, http://speedonthewater.com/in-the-ne...untain-brewery

From the classified ad,

"With the combination of the most advanced Outerlimits marine technology and a talented/experienced crew, you will dominate & everyone will think you’re cheating."

Well Played..

Too funny.

Is this actually news? Didn't they pretty much sit most of the season out (up until KW) and have the boat listed FS last year???

Yes, this actually qualifies as news, not home run, "Wow, what an incredible story" news but but basic daily news for those who follow offshore racing. Regardless of how many races Snowy Mountain Brewery competed in during the regular seasons of its three years in the field, it won three world titles under SBI. Fans know it and love it, and while it wasn't necessarily beloved in its class Snowy became a big name, as big names go in offshore racing, in the sport. So yes, by the very basic of standards of news this qualifies. Not world beating by any means, but worthy of a concise story.

Think of it this way as a fan of the sport. Now, when someone asks you whatever happened to Snowy Mountain Brewery, you have an answer—or at least the answer for now.

Agreed the team and boat dominated the class for years, but my point was he basically hung it up and listed the boat last season... deciding at the last minute to do KW.
