Take a look at some of these fiberglass platforms, may fit your needs better.

Speaking of less money, in these parts I've seen them made out of angle iron and 2 x 4's/plywood and out of PVC!

To the OP, go for it. The boat will be way more user friendly.

Make sure the hydraulics on your alpha are on top of their game. You'll need to use your drive as an "lift" for those larger women. Anybody who says they never have is either lying or they don't drink or they're queer, (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Protocol deems you wait for them to board another boat tied to yours, then open a cupcake and leave it in the cabin. They'll find it.
Plausible deniability.
It saves pride, hurt feelings, and most importantly, trim rams.

The teak platforms are cheaper and for many easier on the kneecaps but the aluminum is maintanence free and often a breeze to pop off for maintanence like the newer factory fiberglass swim platforms are
ask about the warranty on the finish if its going to see constant sun exposure some non uv friendly anodizings can really fade in the sun

So... I think Im gonna do a teak platform... I found one local to me that would fit perfect and its only 150 bucks LOL... I just cant come to the point of spending 1800-2k on the aluminum one... If my boat was a 28-35ft cig, than yeah I would get it, but Its a 89' 19ft powerplay. Im already goin to have to spend 500-700 on getting the 20 holes i need filled and have the transom re-gelcoated. Im sure the teak will look good on it... its classy.
