Listing numbers and actual sale prices are totally different things. The last couple of staggered, six man, #6 41's that have actually exchanged hands tell me that this boat will go somewhere around $100K. But hey what do I know ..........

Steve loves this boat and has taken care of it accordingly. As far as price I don't think he is asking too much however the economy is still not great no matter what the people in Washington are telling you. This was the first factory boat with 6s and you would be VERY hard pressed to find other boats that have been as well taken care of. He has said many times over its for sale, not must sell. With two young kids how many of you would be able to run in a boat that has a six pack? If someone is looking to steal it at rock bottom it will never happen. but he isn't an unreasonable man. It deserves to go to someone that knows the history and will run it like it should be. someone above mentioned nostalgia, very true, that 67 big block vette isn't going to ride like the new Z06.

I just want to clear something up. I didn't mean any disrespect to Steve or poo poo the sale of the boat or this particular boat in any way. Matter of a fact I stated several times I love the boat (and his others actually). My comments were meant to speak to the phenomenon that is the apache cult and their pricing so to speak.
I also didn't mean to start an apache vs tiger war that seems to be the trend on ANY apache thread. :D No offense to Steve or anyone else on here. Just a discussion, unfortunately in this instance there's a boat the discussion surrounds. Let's face it, no matter what, someone is going to get a hell of a boat. ;) |
