How about we put Nurburgring or Monaco in there instead?

Challenger Offshore currently has molds of 2 styles of 42's that have the crooked side in them. The mold is an old Aronow mold that was used by several different companies. I think before Challenger got the molds these boats were called Axium for a while and built in west michigan. That the story as I know it. Dwight

IMHO There were two boats with the Stepped sheer line .One was a 40 Foot Cigarette which was the Old 36 stretched to 40 (the one with the Wale) and the 39 Foot cigarette which was a Lengthened 35 The one. With the Fold in its side.
Mr. Aronow sold the 40 foot Mold to a company in Fort Lauderdale Called Performer, The 39 Mold I do not know where it went after Cigarette. It was Good Rough water Race Boat in its day. And one of them was US1 a Flat Deck version! Now the “Bubble Deck” was on the 39 and that went by the wayside as it is Ugly!

I am curious which of the molds Challenger has. I had looked all over the web for the stepped side hull and until now I thought that it was either a really old cig hull or it was something that Challenger aquired from somewhere else. Sounds like it may have been a little of both. Later Dwight

Whitey
I just saw the Challenger Offshore Companys 42' It could be the old 40 as the Beam shown is 9'-6"
Also Challenger Offshore bought the assets Of "Challenger Boat Works" Cedar Springs Mi in August 95 or so.
Guess the guy liked the Name too!
