My digital cable plus Showtime (which includes regular cable and free Showtime on all other TV's) and internet service currently runs 75.00 a month.
That's less that the old cable service, Showtime, Earthlink ISP and a separate phone line combined.

ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH CABLE MODEMS IS THAT ON ROADRUNNER,ECT. YOUR ON NOTHING BUT A LARGE NETWORK WITH YOUR NEIGBORS ECT.
BE SURE TO HAVE A GREAT FIREWALL TO PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER DATA
I FEEL YOUR LOCAL I.S.P. WILL GIVE YOU MUCH BETTER CARING SERVICE AND WILL WORK HARDER TO KEEP YOU A HAPPY CUSTOMER .
REMEBER THE FIRE WALL !YOU REALLY NEED IT FOR BOTH DSL BUT MAINLY CABLE

better idea-- rr and basic cable and a descramber

I finally decided on Time Warner cable and AOL Broadband. I instantly noticed a degredation of picture quality from that from my DirectV satellite.
Since I was the apartment complex (800 units) leader of getting rid of the other cable system and getting TW I think the manager will direct me to take down my Dish. Not only that..this specific tech told me RR was faster than AOL broadband.

OH well I'll try it for the 30 day free period.

Oh my signal strength with the satellitewas 98 as shown on the DirectV meter on the TV.
