It is amazing how well todays cars can handle such impacts. Crumple zones, airbags, restraints are all a part of it. More metal around you does not beat the technology. It appears that this technology worked out as well as possible for each of you. Here is an eye opener:

Like I said, you can always get a new truck, new limbs or a new life are much harder to come by. I don't think most people know how much better cars are in crashes now compared to 15-20 years ago.

I still have a hard time with the pics. I would have never dreamed your truck would be that damaged and you walk away with a tiny car that weighs 1/5 what you truck weighs hitting you. Glad you are OK. Hope the lady is getting better. I can see my 2012 3500 Dually long bed from my desk sitting outside now and it is hard to imagine it that bad CRUNCHED. WOW just WOW.
