Funny you both mention Cuba, same paper this week outlines how Cubans collect US Social Security here despite never working a single day in the USA!
Some even return to their homeland while still collecting US benefits at a cost of 680 million a year!

Seems like an easy line item to DELETE out of next years budget!

They are not collecting SS unless they have worked 40 quarters... they are "entitled"(i hate that word) to Supplemental Security Income or SSI... which I will never understand why... same thing I guess.... I just wish our government would put as much effort into securing our borders as it does protecting the Manatee!

America's biggest problem with immigration, legal and illegal, is the vast majority are not coming for a better place to work hard and build a better life. They want to milk the system.

In the late 60's the socialists realized the average kid 18 to 25 year olds wouldn't accept socialism/communism on its own. They needed a cause the youth could foolishly believe in, hence save the whales and global warming. Leads to capitalism as being unfair and destructive to the environment. Even the Pope believes this nonsense!

Capitalism is the greatest system on the planet. Even in Cuba those who apply capitalism with a little hard work live better lives. Retirement investing is so easy, anyone can do it. No western country needs social security! Two things schools need to teach is capitalism and saving for retirement on your own! Save the manatee's is nothing more to subtly install rich guilt.
