According to Dave Hemingston there were only 12 or 14 built, and I know of 3 that have crashed (barrel rolled). That said chances are slim with about 10 or 12 left in existence. There are about 3 sitting without power (top photo I think is yours).

They will work, I cannot think of a reason that they wouldn't work.
As for the notch, that might need to be addressed or it might not as I don't have any information on the bottom for me to say correctly one way or another but at it's worst case scenario it's only a minor amount to have to worry about.
