Default Qatar going out of business sale

http://www.raceboatinternational.com...erboat-assets/

But wait!! There's more!!! Buy within the next 10 minutes and you get a free racing org too!! (just pay separate shipping and handling)

In all seriousness though...probably some decent deals to be had depending on where the stuff is.

Nah.... Qatar (the country) is for lack of a better explanation, a family business. somebody higher up in the family said enough.. The entire race thing, the org etc was a hobby .

One member of the Qatar Racing 'family' visits Thailand occasionally and always brings me some team gifts. Usually merchandising gear like T-shirts, caps, usb sticks, calendars, key rings diaries etc, etc.
Does this mean my collection of goodies will be worth something? lol.

He's a great guy and very proud of their boating achievements, Would be good to see someone else take up the challenge but it's a huge financial load, not too many have the coin to throw into the sport at the moment.

Wasnt it kind of a "do what we say or we are taking our team and series and going home" type thing? Not insinuating just asking...

From what has been posted here and there... Higherups in Qatar took control from him and put it under the sail team, Which in turn has hung out the closed sign.

I am fairly sure, that while $$ input through oil revenue is significant, the family(s) behind the race team are rock solid. I think you'll find they have massive property developments in Qatar including several high rise hotels, condos, town houses, shopping precinct and a boat marina.

No need to start a charity drive for them, it's just disappointing for the sport to see a strong contributor withdraw.

Qatar offing those powerboats/hardware is like me throwing an old pair of Red Wing boots in the clothing bin
