I didnt read all 13 pages. Are you keeping all the old stuff? When keeping for resale, it isn't cuz the upgrades dont increase the value of the boat much, which they dont. It is cuz you are gonna have to buy all the good stuff again for the next boat!!!

NOPE Letting the "old stuff" grow roots in the garage doesnt make sense. Sell it and put the cash in your pocket now, when its needed the most. My reasoning can be found in the pages, but I will make it simple. When I grow tried of this boat I simple buy a stock single drive Formula. 271 Fastec would be my next move.

Remove stock 502 Mag or 496 HO whatever the case and install in 252. Resale Value increased

Install performance engine and mods in new boat

Ta Da !

I think the cam is the only thing holding us up, everything else is here. After that, things should come together quickly, I hope.

Glad to hear your making it out. Its tough having beautiful weather and no boat to enjoy it in. Kinda did things backwards on this engine build, but at first we were using my old 454 as a base for a 496 stroker, but things changed to a 540
. If not for that, I would be out on the lake this weekend with the 454 in place. hide site is always 20/20

Now all I need is a good friend, with a CHERRY Fountain , to invite me out on the lake (Hint Hint) Have lots of beer and fuel money, and you want find a better boat *****!
wtf is "hide site" maybe you meant hindsight.. is 20/20

We're all still following, just that many of us are 'sleepers'.
It's a bit like a movie, like it or not, you still want to see how it ends.

I sometimes outrun a boat or two. More often though, I get outrun. I have forgotten what most of those boats I have engaged with even looked like or what brand they were. However, I will never forget this Doral sleeper/cruiser I encountered on a poker run about 15 years ago. Man did that thing turn some heads.
