A truer statement has never be spoken...............Just fired up engine and headers leak like hell! Lucky I bought them from a standup supplier thats well known, and is doing right by me.

So now I'm waiting on a new set from Diamond Marine........Will this ever end?

Yes, please explain how those are leaking. Those of us with the manifolds would like to know.

Diamond Marine is a good company, I bought a set from him and was happy.

Did not purchase Used Headers from Bill, at Diamond. Bill is selling me a new set of KEs and has been great.
Cant tell you what happened to the used set I purchased off the internet, but they leak internally very badly
Hopefully new headers will be here and installed by this time next week

Didn't want to make it sound like it was Bill's product. Just curious how they were leaking for my own education / what to look for. I have heard if they got hot, they are toast / junk. Where were they leaking internally? towards the bolted connection, or in the middle of the runners?

Headers are leaking internally from water jackets into exhaust runners. Unknown what caused this. Just happy the gentleman I purchased from is a standup business man.

Glad you are enjoying my project. Yes I do have a lot of fun enjoying most everything I do, including a powerboat forum.

No disrespect to the other board members with beautiful mega boats that can run everywhere. I know this is "OFFSHORE ONLY" but I did notice a few lake and river runners on here and i thought this would be a good place to post my project.
If you noticed from my first post, I never asked for any advice or opinions from this board. I just wanted to share a winter (now spring and summer) project. Yet, I was told how dumb an idea this was. How I should buy something else (I didnt want)And of course everyone had something better to sell me. Someone even suggested I move, because my condo marina only accepted boats 26' and under. But hey, thats what most of these boards are all about. Lots of people that like to type, but few that will do.
Will continue to post comments and REAL results on here, and look forward to the flame job I will receive for this post

Thanks again!
