Interesting issue on your exhaust, I had the exact same issues with mine from idle to 2200 rpm. I built fully dry pipes with seperate water dumps. I that fixed everything from 1200rpm on up, However below 1200 rpm the exhaust pulses would hit the water behind the boat and it would stir it up and suck it back in getting the O2 wet. So then I also added some drew marine shotgun mufflers onto my dry pipes. The main reason was to disrupt the backwave of the exhaust and keep my O2 sensors dry but also because KE headers with dry pipes are really f$!king loud.Most folks I tell it to don't believe me, and look at me like I'm crazy. Results from Saturdays testing at Little River, SC. Sorry no pics of GPS, too busy looking down at my GPS while mark drove, so you guys will just have to take my word for it Running a 25P 3Blade Mirage Plus prop, Engine maxed out at 5000 rpms at a constant 73 mph. It did "tickle" 74 and 75, put wouldnt hold those numbers. So 73 with me (260lbs) Mark (180 Lbs) 40 Gallons of fuel estimated (Fuel gauge read little below half tank) Mark wants engine at 5800, so trying a 24P hydromotive this weekend off a friends 271SR Bird that serves him well Sundays Results on Lake Norman: Load: Me (260lbs) Wife( 160lbs....10lbs of that is tits) my son Grant (280lbs corn feed country boy) his girlfriend Aylssa (140lbs) 65 gallons fuel estimated (fuel gauge said 3/4 fuel Best Phone GPS speed Constant 70mph 'tickled 71 a few times but settled in at 70 Nice ripple on water. Prime water conditions. Still topped out at 5000 rpms Will try and post up actual picture of GPS reading this weekend after our Fun Run and the 24P. I know you guys like to see proof with pics Now for the fun stuff..........................The looks on peoples faces on "performance boats" when we meet them head on, and they pass our exhaust note is PRICELESS ! I guy in a 29 Baja cut across my stern, and almost broke his neck. snapping his head around. We meet a 35 fountain passing under the bridge at Hwy 150 in a no wake zone, and of course, I had to give it a slight "bump" of the throttle. The WTF looks on their faces said it all. they hadnt even noticed us. Never had a chance to run with anyone (never a Baja Boy around when ya need one) but will have plenty of chances this weekend I'm sure Sunday was a great day, and it was fun have the family out enjoying my new toy.
