Cool. I was curious. See you up around celeron island this summer. Going to venture upstream this year.
I was up there once last summer. My bud lives on one of the canals in Gibraltar. Up from the 20'cig? And the Apache.

I see the Apache all the time around Ford Yacht club. I obviously rack store my boat in Gibraltar. See you your there. There is an identical boat to mine around but doesn't have the "Liberator" stickers on the side.

We usually end up by Sugar Island/Rock Wall/X-dyke, Dunbar and Sullivan, or near the sandbar. Maybe once or twice a year I actually go to Celeron Island.

Just an update:
Its 75 here in NC this week, and boats are coming out of winter storage. Lots of people out on the lake this weekend. Engine still progressing, but high performance engines take time, and can't be rushed. Telling wife to be calm, and go layout by the pool lol
Some things I have learned so far:
Don't short cut anything. Get what you want, life is short. This project started off with taking my stock 454 and building a 496 stroker. Then looked at a used GM 502 block to convert to 540 stroker. But then you have an unknown foundation. For another $1000 bucks, I got a new Merlin Block
Everything else was the same.
Bottom line: Extra Cost equals peace of mind.
