The streets here in Naples are flooded with straight pipe Harleys and teenagers with loudazz diesel pickups and that does not seem to bother them here .
Being there is next to nothing for loud boats around here and the fact they are to busy harassing you for not having your dog on a leash on a remote beach , I doubt they have the knowledge nor the resources to enforce excessive noise violations out on the water.

They were full of hassle that year and Stu never returned. To be fair though, the previous year was absolute mayhem.....running 100-120 in the ICW (limit is 25 or 30), running 3 wide at speed, passing outside channel markers......lots of people cheering on their docks, lots of people shouting (not good things).

I got stopped in Biscayne Bay near South Beach last year for noise, he gave me a warning. He said they were starting to ticket for noise because people in the high rises have been complaining. Never actually got a ticket though.

Never had a problem on the St. Johns River, or the ICW on east central coast. BUT I have to admit the Gibson mufflers that are on the Spectre are really nice, good rumble but you can talk at speed...
