Thinking this may be the hardest replacement part to find.
Deck hardware for the antenna coax.
May have to have these pieces re plated.

The original Shakespeare antenna coil and mount are still intact. There is only one scene that the antenna whip (wire) is in the coil. Rest of the time it's removed. I think they removed them for the crews safety while working around the boats while docked or tied to the camera barge. Leaning over the boat, the whip would be at eye level.
After all these years, I found the whip in the cabin.
Shakespeare still makes this model, so an easy replacement.
Only time the antenna whip appears on film is on Star 1 in the episode "Junk Love"

Wasn't sure if it was even designed for marine application.
Now that the holiday madness is over, I can get going on finishing the Edition boat projects and then focus on #2

Nothing could be cooler. Never know who's attention could be gained over time.
Michael Talbott has taken an interest in the restoration. He spent a lot of time in the Scarabs. Just not on screen.
The day that we spent together at Volo was packed full of behind the scenes stories and recounts of Sunday intracoastal rides up to Shooters.
At the end of the day, he gave me his card with all his personal contact info so we could keep in touch.
He asked if it would be possible to get a ride after the restoration is complete.
In the pic, his exact words were "What a shame. These were beautiful boats. Can you make it right again?"

Just finished reading the 20 pages on this. I can without a doubt say this: There is not another, more deserving, person to own this boat than you! The pure history and knowledge you have of the hardware used in Vice, is incredible! I know in the end this boat will be flawless in every aspect and Switek will be back for his ride! Looking forward to seeing your progress on it and if you ever need a hand one weekend... just ask! Very cool Wayne. Congrats on acquiring it and can't wait to see the end product. Enjoy!
Guess I stared at too damned many frame by frames of the boat sequences
