O.Kayyyyyyy……
Stupid question, where was the second boat? Did they raft up together in Iranian waters and all go below deck? Sure this wasn’t a high seas poker game gone badly. It’s like a plot line for Bill Murray in the movie Stripes or McHale’s Navy.
Yea the whole thing sounds screwy. That region is heavily populated by us forces, and most probably has some of the most extensive monitoring coverage in the world. With satellite, radar, land and water based, awacs, underwater sensors, air patrols, water patrols, etc. Nothing moves on or in the water in that area without it being known. They sure as hell know every-time anything leaves an Iranian harbor. So even if the people on the boats were complete idiots, not a far stretch when it comes to military command. Some one watched those boats float right into Iranian waters with no action from the chain of command watching all the activity in the area?

Not to mention, that there are standard procedures for leaving damaged and or broken military equipment. As already mentioned, why did not the running boat throw a tow line. Why was not the weapons and any classified equipment not destroyed and the faulty boat scuttled, and simply everyone get on the good boat and get the hell out of there. When in a combat area, military personal always have the materials to destroy communication systems and material, and any other classified stuff, sop. They have satellite communication, there are a lot of US bases in that area, they could have had a rescue team there in short order, surface or air, they are constantly on alert for downed pilots.

None of it adds up, If it actually did happen as reported, might as well all just get on our knees and start sucking the ayatollah's dick, seems obama is first in line.

Yeah, baby- give us more of that old time cowboy diplomacy... because it has worked so well EVERY TIME.

It's obvious that you haven't been paying the least bit of attention to anything but fox 'news' so here's an update from the real world-
the sanctions worked.

The Iranians have already sent their nuclear stockpile to Russia and last week dismantled the reactor and shipped the core to Russia.
Boring sh!t, ain't it? War and dick-swinging is so much more fun.

Those boats were equipped to defend themselves. Not sure why they laid down and threw up the white flag so easy . That commander apologizing like a like pu$$y is embarassing to watch.

So Jay you have to come in with insults. So what they have dismantled what they say they have if they have at all and if they don’t have back up facilities to continue their work like in North Korea. What does it really mean? They just don’t get a bomb for a decade and then what is going to stop them? Nothing by world law. Don’t you understand they are playing a full 4 quarters of the game and not just the kick off? What would they do with a bomb if they had it? Act like NK and threaten the world every time they want something? They know if they use it Iran turns to glass. Just by trying to build it they brought a great power to its knees. What happens when Cuba want a bomb shall we just give them Florida so they will hold off for a couple years?
We now are helping a terrorist POS nation that we should have nuked in the 80’s and been done with and bringing them up on the world stage as a legitimate power. The same country that killed so many Americans in Iraq. So Jay maybe get you head out of your … msnbc

Iran released 5 hostages for 12 convicted (pardoned by Obama for some reason) Iranians and not to mention all the many red notices that were canceled for Iranians wanted by interpol. Oh and there is still 3 Americans "missing" in Iran.

Do you feel insulted due to your lack of understanding of the issue? From your post it appears your knowlege is limited to what you hear on fox.

The sanctions are VERY tight on inspections. As far as Iranian history, you should do a minimum of research, especially on how the theocrats running the country stole the election.
Difficult to have an intelligent convo with someone so uninformed/misinformed.

Insulted by my lack of understanding the issue??? Really, another insult. You should have more class then that being a boater.
What sanctions? They are over today and will never be re-imposed. They just broke 2 UN resolutions the past few months and the Obama Admin nixed new sanctions again just a couple days ago. We won’t even get into firing a missile (another UN violation) 1500 yards from an aircraft carrier (an act of war). They tell us what we can inspect and what we can’t. They do their own sampling of nuke sites and again they just shipped what they don’t want us to see to NK and the like. And that’s what we know about because it’s been proven that they have crap hidden all over the place.
Iranian history. How about they have been on the wrong side all the way back to WW-II being friends with Hitler. Then they run the Shaw (a US friend) out in the 70’s… OK that was their choice (how is it working out for the average Iranian now). But then when we let the Shaw come to the US for medical treatment they take our embassy people hostage. Or how about all the Americans that died in Iraq by Iranian hands and money? Or all the terrorist organizations they support like Syria and Hezbollah?
They get their money and the deal is over. From there they will do whatever they want IMHO. They already do for that matter and nothing is even signed yet. And Jay I really don’t care what you think cause you came off as a Kool-aid drinker. Throw an insult and act like everyone who doesn’t think like you is stupid. Typical.

Oh and just FYI, the republicans fought to have the prisoners release included in the Iran nuke deal .. but Obama refused to include their release at that time, had he agreed then he wouldn't have had to release the convicted in a court of law prisoners used in the exchange and we would have had the hostages released sooner.. read, research , read read read , research, research some more, amazing what you can learn.....
