As a disabled veteran, with over 30 years of experience with the VA. Veterans are the most abused minority in the US. I no longer blame the government. This is the fault of the American People.
They do nothing to support those, that when asked to serve, serve to ensure the general populations safety. Even though "The People", acknowledge that there are problems with the politician's, the system, corruption etc., they keep voting the same people into office. Time and time again, yet expect a different result. A number of people over history have stated, doing the same thing over and over again, getting the same result, yet believing that if they keep doing the same thing, the result will eventually be different, is the best definition of stupidity.
Unfortunately, people keep falling for one side or the other of the same coin. Until "The People" figure out, that the result will never be much different, pushing the same coin into the same slot. Nothing will change. Las Vegas, has produced tens of billions of dollars on that principal. Sure they throw a bone to one lucky winner once in awhile, or the masses would stop playing the game. But the little bone they throw, is nearly infinitesimal to the bone stockpile they have amassed. Yet people still flock hoping to get lucky.
I have watched my friends die, time and time again, fighting to get medical care. I my self have been denied medical care which ended up almost killing me, then almost leaving me paralyzed. I had a bacterial infection in my spine, located in a damaged area of my spine, from a parachute landing. I get no compensation for that injury, despite 34 years of complications. I get a little for loss of hearing, but nothing for the real injuries.
I had to be medivac'd to the US. I had an 8k bill before even being wheeled into the emergency room. After everything was said and done, 3 surgeries to scrap out the gunk around my spinal cord, last surgery they left the wound open, took 7 months for the wound to close, you could see my vertebrata when I went home. 9 months of a pick line with 3 doses a day of antibiotics at $2,800 a pop, not including every thing else. All said and done over a million in medical bills. All of which could have been avoided.
You people are arguing about facts of history, while you do not even understand, that a good majority of the history presented to you is tainted. If you want to learn about military and war history, you are better off reading stuff from the people that were actually a part of the operations. School history books, and media reports are way off. Yes the American people are just as stupid and duped as everyone one else in every other country in the world.
The recent history stuff, is so rife with misdirection, propaganda, and indoctrination, any one who believes it, is an f'n idiot. Even much of the most mainstream stuff written by so called special operators recently, is an orchestrated play of tragedy. It keeps working, so why should they stop, the alms keep rolling in.
To get back on the subject of the thread, below is a link with some details, that might give you guys a little more insight, into the deception the US Government has always played. With the veterans population around 1% of the total population. I know it is difficult for the average citizen to figure out what is really happening. Those of us that have been volunteered and put ourselves in harm ways. Have personally seen what really happened, while we also see what the American people are presented as fact, two entirely different worlds. When I have stated to people some of the things I experienced, I have been called an out right liar. Yet the people/person calling me a liar, have never stepped foot out side of the US, have never served, only speak English, and have never schooled in a different country. All of which I have done. I am a naturalized citizen with family that has been in every war, back to the war of 1812, and possibly earlier service.
The problem is not just the US Government and it's politicians, but in actuality "The People" themselves. It really points to, average intelligence, is really not intelligent at all. Doing the same thing, over and over, getting one result, yet believing a different result will surface, if you just keep doing the same thing, is just not working. Yet there are always multiple groups claiming if you have faith, on the tenth trillion try, the result will change, have faith.
Faith, belief, hope, legend, and other such words, people should really educate themselves with the definitions of such words. Throughout history such wording is heavily used by the wordsmiths, from every single clan, tribe, cluster f'ck, town, county, state, parrish, country, government, religion and then some. But until "The People" evolve beyond the group mentality, certainly essential to survival in the early phases of evolution. Yet unless the human race moves beyond the historical and current method of crowd control, the planet is doomed to constant war, until ONE faction wins.

3 others, had the same problem I had at the same time, treated by the same group of doctors. 2 died, one is paralyzed. I am the only one walking out of the four. They never determined what the cause was, or the bacteria that was responsible.
There are a lot of vets who are a hell of a lot worse off than me. I am very fortunate. All you people keep blaming Obama, bush, or some other politician, the gov, the ayatollah, putin, marry poppins or who ever. Yet the real blame falls with the american people. You people on this forum, are just like every other American. The majority of you keeps pointing fingers and blaming someone else for the past and current events, some how narrowing it down to one side or the other of the same coin. Believe me I am no Obama, bush, clinton, kerry, putin or marry poppins supporter. The problem is "The People", that want the easy way out, and always blame the people, "The People" voted in.
Rather than play the blame game, with your arrogant, pompous, f'd up believes, based off of misinformation, does not matter what news source you get it from. Why will you cockless sob's, not get off your ass and f'n actually do something?
Have any of you ever visited a VA hospital? Simply go into the waiting rooms, and talk to the people in there if you want the real story. Yes you are going to run into a few that will say every thing is great, ether they have been lucky, or they simply do not know any difference after 20-30 years of service. 20-30 years of hard service calluses people in strange ways. Then there is the oxymoron of military intelligence. The smart ones do not stay in long.
Go to the ward were the paraplegics are housed. You will find, that they are still strong, despite having to stair at the ceiling day in day out. They are still proud of their service, and would do it again. Even though they have to be hand feed, and the nurses have to put there hands up their rectum to coax the feces out of their intestines, they are paralyzed, their muscles below their neck no longer work. If their excrement is not manually extracted, it would build up and kill them. They live with this day in day out until they die.
Do you have what it takes to go look them straight in the eyes and tell them, the only reason they are laying there, one nurse pushing food in their mouth, and another pulling the feces out of there rectum. Is because it's the republicans or the democrats fault for their predicament? The republicans scream the most about support the veterans, yet they push for the lowest budget, the democrats push political correctness. Either way the vets are f'd, because the truth is suppressed, while those that deliver a death sentence to veterans, are above reproach.
You all talk big and tuff on this forum, do any of your cockless sob's have what it takes to look those guys with a nurses hand in their mouth and one up there rectum in the eyes and play the finger pointing game?
Everyone who has served has scar tissue, physical and or mental. No matter what the level of effect serving has had on those that served. EVERYONE lives with it till the day they die, the war never ends. Yet the "The People" believe these wars start, and then end.
Fact is, the US military has been involved in combat in numerous countries since the US branched out after the Spanish American war, of course protecting American interest and influencing change world wide. For better or worse. Yet a great majority of the combat is overlooked in history books, because war was never officially declared, or worded differently. Even in so called peace time, many have had some very bad experiences. The old saying is, power corrupts, might have some relevance here. I suggest you know all people, take a look at what Robert A. Heinlein wrote about the famous 1979 department of defense report. Yes during a democrats presidency. I am not going to provide the links, you people need to educate yourselves.
My first experience with negligent homicide was 6 weeks into basic training. That gentlemen with a 4 and 6 year old daughter, who was a Vietnam combat vet, grunt. He joined back up because he could not get a job and needed to feed his children and wife. I was one of the two that carried him to the deuce and a half, then ordered to get back into formation ( 5 mile run he dropped ). I protested leaving him alone, as it was apparent that he needed immediate attention, he was having a heart attack. I knew this because of the paramedic training I had received prior to joining. I was given a direct order to get back into formation, wish I had never followed that order, something I live with every day. He was left there to die all alone refused medical attention. I was latter punished for pointing out that the command, from the company commander down to the lowly corporal, had failed to follow regulation concerning trainees afflicted with exhaustion during training.
They do nothing to support those, that when asked to serve, serve to ensure the general populations safety. Even though "The People", acknowledge that there are problems with the politician's, the system, corruption etc., they keep voting the same people into office. To this day, refusals to provide medical treatment, is an ongoing problem. Civilians really have no f'n clue as to how rampant it is, still to this day.
Many of the people on this forum talk a lot of tuff talk. Yet never once have I seen any indication that many of you have ever done a dam thing about it. Some of you are financially well off, and give off the standard "I support the troops" line of bs. I have nothing against being wealthy, I am a capitalist at heart. It simply pains me that many of you are reaping the benefits provided by people that were not cockless like your selves.

I’m not sure if I should be offended or not SinOjos. I was too young for Nam and by the time the first Gulf war came around I was married with children. Do have a lot of family in the air force and navy over the years though and my farther fought in WWII and Korea and ended up with a chest full of metals and a plate in his head.
I to think it’s shameful the way our Vets are treated. Every time I see a commercial for a nonprofit or other private place needing money to help Vets almost makes me sick. Not because they are trying to help but because they are needed in the first place. You folks that risk your lives to make this country what it is deserve much better then what you have. IMHO do away with the VA and just let you all go to a regular hospitals. This day and age it’s stupid to have a failing outdated redundant agency when on the next street there is a place that can do it so much better.

Some folks choose not to support business/individuals/organizations/ networks etc based on their agendas. Some people stand behind their beliefs, what`s so hard to understand?
Based on his views I wouldn`t give that Naples liberal a single cent of my hard earned money.
