Foul,

Run a virus scan first, who knows. Here is an online one: http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

Second, find a pop up killer program. I use one called PopUp Killer available at http://download.com.com/3000-2366-10...ml?tag=lst-0-1

With only one IE window open, go to <Tools>...<Internet Options> and click <Use Blank> to set your homepage to blank. Click <OK> in the Internet Options dialogue box then move and resize your window how you like it. Drag the edges of IE with your mouse to resize, IE 5.X has a bug when using maximize for saving window size and position. Exit IE. Re-open IE and change your default homepage back to where you had it (I'm assuming Offshoreonly )

The only way to stop redirects is to disable the use of Java in IE. You probally don't want to do that.

Good Luck,
-Chris
I did what you said.......no joy. Still can't surf porn the way I want to!! And I fixed the OSO issue no sweat.

http://www.panicware.com/popupstopper.html
scroll down the page to the free one.
To move the window on the screen: Right click on the window's icon in the taskbar. Click Move and then use the down arrow key on the keyboard to move the window down. If you want to close the window, just click Close.

Bummer. That resize trick should work. Makes me want to think you may have additional problems. Did you scan for a virus?

Do you have adaquate disk space? IE saves it's window size and position in the registry. If it cannot write to it, it cannot save it.

Try this for grins...

Open Notepad (or your favorite HTML editor) and copy and paste this line:

<BODY onload="window.moveTo(0, 0),window.resizeTo( screen.availWidth, screen.availHeight)">

Save the file somewhere and name it fullscreen.htm

-Or- I attached the file to this reply. You could save it to your disk and rename it from fullscreen.txt to fullscreen.htm

Then open IE and click <File>...<Open>...<Browse> and locate the file you just saved (fullscreen.htm) and click <OK>

What happened? Did it resize your window?
If it did work, try it again with only ONE IE window open. Then exit IE after it resizes. After that, launch IE again? What happened? Did it resize correctly?

Oh, what version of IE do you have? What operating system and version are you running?

Keep us posted.

I think you guys might trying to get too technical. I had this problem a while back. Lets try something basic. When the little popup window comes up, it's in a restore state (meaning that all you can do with it is max it or close it). What you need to do is drag the sides of the window to the size you want to have it, then close it, then close IE. As for not being able to see the X/close box, resize your desktopp to a higher resolution, then move the box to the middle. Now resize the desktop to the size you like best. Good Luck! I hope this works for you. Keep us posted.

Nothing mentioned above has worked. I cannot drag the window anywhwere, no matter what I do. I tried to re-size. No go. I'll work on it more tomorrow. Getting tired now.
