Sad news... On one of our trips to the Miami Boat Show, our Hotel had a deck that looked out towards the ocean... I walked out onto our deck, and all of a sudden there was the guy from the room next door!! (There wasn't much of a divider between the units... just a basic metal rail...) We struck up a conversation and we found out we knew each other from this forum. It was Robert aka Magicfloat. He was a real nice guy!! Prayers for his family.

Very sorry to hear this. Condolences to his family.
We spoke on the phone and through the forum a fair amount back in the day. He hooked me up with knowledge and parts selflessly .
If I remember correctly his screen name came from his father who invented "MagicFloat" pool furniture.
A class guy.
R.I.P. Robert

Met Robert once at his dealership while traveling.
Robert would give you the shirt off his back.
Truly a great man. Lots of great times on OSO. RIP Robert, you will be missed.

I did not know Robert first hand but he was very helpful to me back in 2007 with an issue I was having with my Formula and it showed me the power of this forum, Robert was a true gentleman and I was always very grateful for his help.
My thoughts and prayers for Robert and his family.
RIP

Very sad news. As mentioned Robert was a big part of OSO back in the day. Always a gentleman and always willing to go the extra mile to help anyone out. I really enjoyed his posts over the years. His posts had substance. R.I.P. friend.
