Default New Bertram Copper Kettle Model

Hi my name is John and I work for Mel Riggs rebuilding marine transmissions. Over the years working for Mel I became very interested in making a model of the
38 Competition Bertram race boat Copper Kettle. Last year I found out Sammy James still had the mold for the model of the 38 Competition boat. So this winter he
made me a boat model. Yes I did ask him to make it out of Kevlar but he said No !! The stuff is to hard to work with so he made one out of glass for me. I'm looking
for all the Photos I can get my hands on. Photos of the sides ,engines dash, seats anything would help. If you have photos send me a private email or post them
on here. I will start working on the model when I have done all of my homework. Thanks John

Very cool.

Heres one I have of it from early/mid '70's at the Strohs Grand National on Lake Erie. Pits were in the marina at Cedar Point amusement park where my parents docked their boat.
I think I spanked my monkey right before this shot was taken Maybe after, not sure since I could'nt see or think straight at that point.

Jack Jr I was just up on the north side of Milwaukee picking up a engine for one of my cars. We will have to hook up this summer and you will have to give a ride in that Apache. Thanks for looking.

tommymonza I'm just a 51 year old kid!!

Twin O/B Sonic That is the 40 ft Corsa hull. Mel said the boat was good in rough water but was a Tank! They didn't use it very much and they moved back into the Cigarette hull.

SS930 Thanks for looking up the photos on google . Keep looking Thanks John
